Hisar: The police registered a case against a married woman and her lover who obtained a protection order by misleading the court by concealing facts about her marriage. The Judge of the Court of Sessions Dinesh Kumar Mittal had ordered a criminal case on Friday during the hearing of the request for protection.
Hisar Police said Civil Line Police Station registered a case against Rita and her lover Ajit under Sections 195 (giving or fabricating false evidence with intent to obtain conviction of an offense punishable by ‘a life sentence or imprisonment), 420 (cheating), 467 (forgery of value, will, etc.), 468 (forgery in order to deceive), 471 (false document), 494 (remarriage during the lifetime of the husband or wife) of Indian Penal Code.
According to the police, Rita and her lover Ajit filed a petition for protection in court on July 26, claiming that they were adults and married on July 26 at Sarva Samaj Kalyan Welfare Trust located in Satrod Kalan village of Hisar and Rita’s brother, aunt and uncle are unhappy with the marriage. The court issued notices to the respondents and ordered that they be kept in the safe house.
During the hearing of the case on Friday, the respondents appeared in court and said that Rita was already married to a man named Amit and had two children.
