AXA introduces free add-on benefits to provide additional protection for quarantined travel insurance customers after returning to Hong Kong

HONG KONG SAR – Media Outreach – June 1, 2022 – AXA Hong Kong (AXA) offer “AXA Free Protection Program for Inbound Travelers” (the “Program”) to enhance the protection of returning customers by providing them with additional free benefits during their mandatory quarantine period, with no prior registration required.

AXA recognizes the potential risk of unpredictable accidents when staying in quarantine hotels or community isolation centers. Until December 31, 2022, customers with designated travel insurance policies[1] can take advantage of the additional free cover below, up to 14 days from their arrival in Hong Kong:

  • Up to HKD 200,000 in case of accidental death or permanent total disability
  • Up to 500,000 HKD for personal liability
  • 5,000 HKD for baggage and personal effects protection, up to 1,000 HKD per item
