Playa del Carmen, QR — The Mayor of Playa del Carmen has signed an agreement with the FGE providing for the installation of an FGE module. On Friday, Mayor Lili Campos, together with the head of the FGE (General Attorney of the State of Quintana Roo), Óscar Montes de Oca, inaugurated the new facility.
The new FGE module is a tourist attention center where visitors can report any crime and receive assistance in case of loss of documents. On social networks, Campos reported that the new Tourist Assistance and Protection Center (CAPTA) is located on Av. Juárez between Av. 15 and 20, Colonia Centro and officially opened on May 13.
There, she says, “tourists will be able to process complaints for any type of crime or loss of any document.” The establishment operates Monday to Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
During the inauguration, Campos thanked the office of the FGE and other security agencies for the significant progress that has been made in preventing and combating crime.
